Rodrigo!

Rodrigo!

Rodrigo is 33 years old. He has always been a very active person. He is very loved and supported in everything by his family — his mom, dad and brother. He’s been part of the association Cerību spārni (Wings of Hope) for a long time now. While at the association, he is always overjoyed with all the activities he can participate in and the friends he can meet.
At the centre he spends a lot of time making handicrafts from leather. He excels at making passport covers, jewellery boxes, earrings and keychains. He has also created vases decorated with leather and covers for tablets. He has also tried his hand at making various types of crockery at the ceramics workshop. Rodrigo has excellent fine motor skills, and his linen embroidery pieces deserve a particularly high appraisal. He learned this skill while studying at Riga 5th Boarding School. He is currently improving his embroidery skills with the help of his teacher Renāte, and a lot of pieces have been completed already. Rodrigo would love to see his works displayed in an exhibition since he has quite a lot of them at home. Each artwork takes about a year to complete, and a lot of effort and precision is put into it. He also likes to participate in clean-up days organised by the association together with his mom and local celebration processions.
In his free time, Rodrigo is actively doing things around the house. His responsibilities include mowing the lawn, stacking firewood, cleaning his room and helping his mom to welcome their guests. He likes to keep his family’s sauna in order and cuddle both of his playful dogs. Rodrigo is a huge fan and supporter of the Latvian ice-hockey club Dinamo Riga. He has all the necessary equipment and clothing for when he goes to watch their games at Arena Riga. He will blow the fan horn and cry out, "Go, go!" He goes to hockey games with his classmates as well.
He has visited Ireland during trips with his family, but the place he really wishes to travel to is Italy to visit his friend Dace and bring her some chocolate from Latvia. He often goes shopping with his mom and will always buy some potato crisps and a fizzy drink. Rodrigo is a very kind-hearted and optimistic person, and, as he himself admits, a very happy one at that!
