Sandra!

Sandra!

Ten years ago, looking for support for herself and her son Emīls, Sandra came to the Day Centre at the Cerību spārni (Wings of Hope). Sandra is very glad that her son has this opportunity to be surrounded by people and to learn new skills. The boy loves to work with candles, draw and do craftwork. He has a lot of patience for precise work. He inherited this great patience from his mother Sandra, who would not be able to bead without this quality.
Sandra’s daughter showed her some basic principles of beading and soon enough without realising it has become her hobby. As the time passed, she learned all beading skills by herself. Sandra is very passionate about the fact that it is possible to create such beautiful jewellery from those tiny pearls. The beading process makes her feel calm, pleased and happy. If something fails, she does not give up hope and starts everything from the beginning till everything is perfect. There are so many ideas, but not enough time. She also loves to remodel and fix the broken jewellery. From time to time, Sandra also helps out by fixing or remodelling some old family jewelleries.
Sandra completed once popular sewing/modeling courses organized by Burda Style. Burda is the first sewing school in Latvia, which professionally trains both beginners and professionals. Sandra also loves to knit and crochet, as well as to draw book covers.
Her greatest joy is having three children and two grandchildren. Due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions and unavailability to meet the grandchildren, she was very sad and missed them dearly.
Wherever she goes, she takes her son with her. They both love hiking together and visit relatives. Recently they attended the Cēsis city celebration. They would love to visit the Riga Zoo as they have not been there for a very long time. Emīls absolutely loves the sea and they enjoy going swimming together. He is looking forward to going back to school as he misses it very much. Sandra and her son are very close and they can not imagine the world without each other! In the evenings, they love to spend time together and play games such as Russian lotto, circus, puzzles and lego blocks. Typically to men, Emīls really likes shashlik, Olivier salad and pilaf. He also enjoys sweets such as cake, ice cream and strawberries with sugar. The quality of the food is very important to Sandra, and she pays attention to it.
At home they have two pets: French bulldog Pipars and a cat named Bosse. They love to stretch their legs by taking long walks with the dog.
Emīls says that he loves to dance and take walks with his mom and this serves as a great example for the love and great bond that they are sharing with each other in this tough world. They are always admiring and expressing their love to each other!
