Zane!

Zane!

Zane has been visiting the day centre of association Cerību spārni (Wings of Hope) for several years. Every day she attends with joy to do some activities and to meet friends.
Her main activity is to break the pieces of candles and put them in containers. It develops finger motility and concentration skills. Zane has also created felt pads for pots and she has painted cones for decorations. She likes to keep her hands clean so she doesn’t participate in ceramic making even though she'd love to. She has also tried soap making. In the afternoon Zane is happy to participate in music and dancing lessons. From all visitors of the day centre, Zane likes to be with Patrīcija the most because both of the girls love to dress up and make each other happy. Zane’s greatest joy comes from showing her works to her mother who at the same time motivates Zane and makes her happy. Zane's mother takes her to the swimming pool, which is great source of relaxation and joy. The girl is very accustomed to the rhythm of working days and she knows when it is the weekend and when to come to the day centre. If the usual rhythm changes, Zane sits in the car and refuses to step out until her mom convinces her. On the weekends Zane exercises with a ball and works with kinetic sand. Zane likes different kinds of sweets. Zane particularly loves to take part in excursions organized by the association, such as to the Medjugorje city (Croatia), which showed her truly excellent endurance in hiking.
Zane doesn’t like being alone and rainy days when it’s harder to wake up because her day starts early, around six in the morning. No one has seen Zane in a bad mood! She is always smiling, optimistic and she’s never going to hurt anyone. She will rather want to touch or give a hug. When Zane wants to be alone, she browses some magazines for a long time until everything is looked through. Although Zane does not speak, she expresses her emotions through smiles, laughter and hugs, thus bringing joy to all the people around her with the warmth of her heart.
